Carolina Cockpit manufactures modular aluminum & fiberglass deck structures which include: pilothouses, wheelhouses, crane and equipment cabs, barge houses, tankerman shelters, winch and ROV control stations, dredge cabs and many land based applications including molded fiberglass buildings and guard shacks.
CAROLINA COCKPIT is pleased to offer operator protection structures and enclosures produced in our adjustable mold system to suit your dimensional and operational environment requirements. These structures can be foam cored, molded fiberglass and can be laid up in any degree of impact and fire resistance desired while keeping weight to a minimum with corrosion proof marine materials and methods. They range from small dash or console components to entire pilothouses and equipment cabs, complete with molded in mounting flanges to simplify installation in new or retro-fit applications. Flat panels for “knock-down” structures, doors, floors, berths, and internal walls can also be produced.
Structures are made to your dimensions w/height up to the maximum permitted by highway dimensional limits. Our structures are a cost effective option as a retro-fit application to replace existing deteriorated sheet metal with a quiet, dry, insulated, molded fiberglass "all weather protection" for your land or sea based applications.
Since 1988 we are proud to have produced structures for the US Navy, Coast Guard, Marad, and other federal and state agencies. As well as Bouchard, Broussard, Brusco, Crosby, Crowley, Great Lakes Towing, Great Lakes Dredge and Dock. Harley, Intracoastal Marine, McAllister, Moran, Maritrans, Mobil Oil, Norfolk, Port of Long Beach, Panama Canal Authority, Sedco Forex, Amclyde, and many others. We look forward to the opportunity to work with you on your next project.
